Convert Technorati Tags into Blog Search Links: Part 111: Simplified Version

Some people were complaining that the tag was too complicated so I decided to take another look at it and see if I could simplify things.

In its most basic sense the heart of a tag is the ( rel="tag">yourkeyword ) part. As we saw in Part 1 and Part 11 of this tutorial, by combining two tags we were able to make it serve dual purposes. But let's see if using just one tag will accomplish the same effect.

I ended up with a tag looking something like this:

< a href="http://search.blogger.com/?as_q=yourkeyword&ie=UTF-8&ui=blg&bl_url=your.dot.com&x=40&y=10" rel="tag">yourkeyword< /a>

Here is a working example:

blog bloke

As you can see it works and Technorati indexed it here.

So there you have it folks. The proof is in the code.
